Parent's Guide
Dear Parents,
Here at CollegeCoachBus, we understand your concern for your children’s safety when traveling back and forth from the University of Delaware. To the same extent, we realize how much of an inconvenience it can be to drive to UD, pick up your students, and bring them all the way home, considering gas, tolls, time, and traffic. Therefore, at CCB we have come up with a "Parent's Guide" to ease you and your children’s transition from your normal way of travel to College Coach Bus.
These following 5 easy steps can help you make sure your child will be perfectly prepared to enjoy their ride home on College Coach Bus!
  1. Remind your child to bring a copy of your Paypal receipt on the trip. This receipt is your child’s ticket onto the bus. If you no longer have a copy of your paypal receipt, or never received email verification from them, please let us know and we will determine the problem.
  2. Make sure your child knows what time the busses leave. Please refer to the upcoming trips box on the right side of the screen for departure times.
  3. Encourage your child to pack in advance. Packing in advance allows your child to make sure they haven’t forgotten anything. Students who pack last minute often forget certain items they wish they had with them during the trip and throughout their break.
  4. Have your child eat either before the trip, or bring food on the bus. The ride from UD to NYC is often around 3 hours. Although certain foods and beverages will be given out on the bus such as popcorn, chewing gum, and water, students will probably get hungry during the trip. A simple bag lunch can solve this problem.
  5. Make sure your child understands how to continue on their journey when arriving at either Grand Central or Penn Station. Although it is quite simple to find your destination when at one of these two stations, certain times of the day can become overwhelming. Make sure your child checks local train times and understands the transition from the bus onto the correct train. All train schedules can be found at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
These 5 steps will make the trip for both you and your child much less stressful. The rest is as easy as sitting back, watching a movie, and waking up in New York City. Check out the FAQs page for more on details of our services and amenities, or head over to Purchasing to reserve your child’s ticket now!
